Part of PTC's purpose is to support turfgrass research and education at Penn State University. Your generous support as members, conference attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors allows PTC to provide funding to support turfgrass research and student success. In 2024, the following gifts have been made:
- $8000 - Support PSU student travel to attend SFMA and GCSAA conferences.
- $25,000 - PTC Excellence Account through Penn State University to support the PSU Turfgrass Science Program
- $55,000 - Watson Scholarship Donation for 2-year and 4-year PSU Turfgrass Science students
- $25,000 - Start-Up funds to support Dr. Manoj Chhetri
- $50,000 - Start-Up funds to support Dr. Chase Straw
- $12,000 - PTC Scholarships for 2-year and 4-year PSU Turfgrass Science students
- $101,000 - John Kaminski, Ph.D. Research Account
- $216,000 - Ben McGraw, Ph.D. Research Account

- $127,263 - Smithco 300 Gallon GPS Sprayer for Valentine Research Facility and Teaching in the 2-year and 4-year PSU Turfgrass Science Program
